About Bonnington Farm

Tess & Mark Homewood · Bonnington, Ashford, Kent

Bonnington Farm sits in the village of Bonnington, near Ashford in Kent, surrounded by the open countryside of the Romney Marsh. Tess and Mark Homewood have been farming here since 2020, drawn by an aspiration shared from the beginning — to build something they could be genuinely proud of.

Their introduction to alpacas came through a neighbouring herd. What began as curiosity became a serious breeding programme, built on a simple conviction: that it is better to breed fewer animals well than many animals carelessly.

Today, Bonnington Farm's herd is BAS registered and holds membership of the Trusted Alpaca Seller Scheme — a standard held by fewer than 10% of UK alpaca sellers. Tess and Mark are also approved BAS Affiliate Trainers, running the nationally accredited nine-module programme from the farm.

What We Stand For

Quality over quantity

We maintain a deliberately small herd. Every breeding decision is made with long-term genetic quality in mind — not short-term volume.

Trusted Seller Scheme

We are members of the BAS Trusted Alpaca Seller Scheme — an independently verified standard of care, transparency and quality held by fewer than 10% of UK alpaca sellers.

Lifelong support

We consider every sale a relationship, not a transaction. Our buyers have access to Tess and Mark's knowledge and network for the lifetime of their herd.
