Basic Alpaca Care

Just bought your first herd of alpacas? Looking to buy alpacas? We have the perfect training course for you. Our Basic Alpaca Care Course will give you a greater undertanding of these beautiful animals and how to care for them. The course includes: Nutrition including poisonus plants, medication and basic handeling including putting on a halter.

Husbandry and Handling

It is advised to undertake the Basic Alpaca Care Course before undertaking this training. This course covers haltering and handeling more in depth including alternative ways to put on a halter, how to train your alpacas to walk on a lead and how to give injections and cut toe nails.
